This site filled with social commentary, ideas, satire and miscellaneous crap. M.O. is currently contextually supported by two writers, Morbid Optimist and One Mountain.
About Morbid Optimist: 25 years old and in the armed forces. Stationed in San Diego, which really is a cool city, but the cost of living there is ridiculous. Originally from Sacramento (which might also explain his natural bitterness), he seems to have a unique outlook. If what he says pisses you off, get over it, we're here for fun, not to change your life.
About One Mountain: Also 25 years old but originally from Kansas and currently living in Salt Lake City. He is on a never ending quest for education and is currently studying to be a yoga instructor. Mountain gears his writing towards significant life experience along with cynical criticism and satire.
Why M.O. was started: Because all the cool kids have their own URL.
Why have ads on M.O?: As mentioned above, Morbid in the military. Being in the military doesn't quite offer the financial freedom one might expect. Actually, I would go so far to say that active duty military make just enough money to live and that's about it. Don't worry though, the $16 earned from ads over the last year and a half have done wonders for us.
